Meet The Doctors

Dr. Rubinfeld has been practicing, lecturing, and training other professionals for 30 years and is a well-regarded and respected healthcare provider. He previously held the position of Medical Director for 3 national healthcare companies and has trained over 100 doctors in his former position.

In addition to general eye care services, Dr. Rubinfeld specializes in the treatment of dry eye conditions and offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment for this and other ocular health conditions.

Dr. Alvarez-Granados received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. She went on to earn her doctorate from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. There, she gained experience and completed various rotations, including traumatic brain injuries and low vision services at the West Haven VA, pediatrics, and working alongside ophthalmologists to co-manage sight-threatening conditions.

Clinically, Dr. Alvarez specializes in comprehensive exams for all ages and ocular diseases such as diabetes, specialty dry eye conditions and treatments, as well as myopia management and contact lens fittings. Dr. Alvarez is passionate about treating every patient with commitment, compassion, and exceptional care that they expect and deserve.

On her free time, Dr. Alvarez enjoys reading, going to concerts, and spending time with her friends, family and two dogs.

Dr. Jeremy Liang received his Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Neuroscience from Binghamton University and his optometry degree from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico-School of Optometry. He has completed various clinical rotations to expand his skill set, including rotations in ocular disease at Bronx Eye Associates, where he expanded his exposure to a wide variety of ocular conditions and procedures, including dry eye treatment utilizing punctual plug insertion, scleral lenses, and amniotic membranes. He has worked alongside ophthalmologists where he co-managed cataract surgeries, advanced disease, and emergent cases.

Dr. Liang provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages with a wide variety of ocular conditions. He takes a particular interest in dry eye and specialty contact lens fittings. He strives to listen wholeheartedly to meet the needs of his patients and give them the family like experience they deserve.

Outside the office, Dr. Liang enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Winkler obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2005. Developing a profound interest in vision, he pursued his doctoral studies at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in South Florida, graduating with honors in 2011. During this time, he served on the local Optometry board and received the prestigious Dean's Award, recognizing his exceptional clinical and educational achievements.

Dr. Winkler underwent rigorous training at the Wm Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina, focusing extensively on the diagnosis and management of various ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye syndrome. In 2020, he furthered his education by earning Diplomate status as a board-certified Optometrist through the American Board of Optometry, demonstrating his dedication to improving patient outcomes and enhancing overall eye health. He remains committed to assisting the local community with their eye care needs.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Winkler is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys attending comedy shows, concerts, cooking, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Dr. Margaret Fernicola is a residency-trained optometrist specializing in comprehensive medical eye care. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry and completed an Ocular Disease Residency through SUNY and Woodhull Hospital.
 

Dr. Vincent DeNinis received his Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from The State University of New York at Binghamton. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry from The State University of New York College of Optometry. During his training, he completed clinical rotations at the Northport VA Medical Center, OMNI Eye Services of Atlanta, the East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center, as well as several specialty clinics at University Eye Center in Manhattan, including Neuro-Ophthalmology/Optometry and Specialty Contact Lens fitting.

He has practiced in hospital eyecare settings with Guthrie Medical Group, located in Upstate New York, and with New York-Presbyterian at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center.He also has experience in private practice settings; having worked in multidisciplinary Ophthalmology/Optometry co-management offices in Coastal South Carolina, Upstate New York, and North/Central New Jersey.

Dr. DeNinis looks forward to using his breadth of experience to assist patients in managing any and all of their eyecare needs. When not practicing, Dr. DeNinis stays active with personal fitness or with a variety of sports depending on the season. 

Dr. Reuben Alexander (known to many patients as Dr. “A”) brings over 14 years of clinical experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating summa cum laude from the State University at Albany in 2008, and received his Doctor of Optometry with honors from Salus University in 2012. After several years in practice, he completed an advanced residency affiliated with Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2016 and later became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2018. He is currently completing his Executive MBA at the prestigious Columbia Business School, class of 2028.
 

Before joining Westchester Eyes, Dr. Alexander served more than 12 years in the U.S. Army, providing healthcare in six outpatient clinics around the world. He spent eight consecutive years as the sole eye care provider in Camp Walker (South Korea), Joint Multinational Readiness Center (Germany), Camp Zama (Japan), and concluded his service at the Pentagon Health Clinic in 2025. His military roles have included Commander, Chief of Ancillary Services, Chief of Clinical Operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Chief of Optometry Services. His latest role was at InFocus Eyecare in the Boston area.


Dr. Alexander has a clinical focus on the treatment and management of dry eye disease and glaucoma. He is passionate about delivering high-quality care and building lasting relationships with his patients.


Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, discovering new foods, skiing, and staying active with volleyball and pickleball.
